- 450g diced sirloin steak
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1 can of Campbell's Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 120ml water
- 60ml (4tbsp) dry sherry (optional)
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- Cooked rice or pasta
- Chopped fresh parsley
Step 1Season the beef with the black pepper.
Step 2Heat the oil over a medium heat.
Step 3Add the beef to the pan and cook until browned.
Step 4Set the cooked beef to one side and drain off the fat from the pan.
Step 5Reduce the heat and cook the onion until tender. Stir in the soup, water, sherry (optional) and tomato puree then bring to the boil.
Step 6Return the beef to the pan and heat until cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Step 7Serve the beef stroganoff over the rice or pasta, sprinkle with parsley and serve.
